Being on the lower end of the food chain, I don’t often spend time with creatures larger than me. King Neptune is the biggest exception, but he and I are so close that I sometimes feel we are connected. When King Neptune is in danger, we are all in danger. With the King unable to reach Duckey, it was up to me to bring him into our mission.

How is it that you are able to communicate with King Neptune without talking?

We have a magical relationship. We are connected through our thoughts.

You invited the humans, John and Suzanne, to join in the mission to save the ocean. Why would you and King Neptune trust humans?

King Neptune has known a few good humans in his long life. There was something about John and Suzanne that told him they would share his desire to save the ocean. These are special humans who respect ocean life, not like those that pollute the water and endanger life there.

Of all the ducks in the pond, do you know why King Neptune chose Duckey to report this important story?

King Neptune reads a lot of newspapers and has always enjoyed The Duckey Daily. So, he read a lot of Duckey’s articles. We have all learned not to question Neptune. He just knows.
