King Neptune wants you to know our water sources are precious — and in danger! The mighty king of the oceans has lost his power to protect the oceans from man-made threats. Without his help, all of our oceans could become inhabitable — killing millions of creatures who live there.
I’ve always been different from the other ducks at the pond. I can’t dunk a basketball to save my life, I’d rather write than play silly duck games…and I’m absolutely terrified of water. So no one was more surprised than me when King Neptune chose me to tell the story of a super-special project—one that could change the whole world!
My assignment? Chronicle the exciting adventures of the Ocean Protectors, a group of marine animals that King Neptune handpicked for a top-secret mission!
The Diamond of the Seas, which holds all of Neptune’s powers and the oceans’ colors, has been stolen! Without this precious jewel, our mighty king can’t protect the oceans and the waterworld will turn colorless. The unlikely team of OPs must race to reclaim it!
But, Raiden Shark is getting in their way. He’s the biggest, angriest, meanest shark in the underwater world, and he wants to destroy the Diamond. The Ops have to use their wits and talents to battle Raiden and his gang, get back the Diamond, and save the oceans.
King Neptune assigned me the job of telling the story of the Ocean Protectors. Soon after I started writing, though, it became obvious that my role in this mission would be much, much bigger than I ever could have imagined…
As you’ll see in our book—and website—you don’t have to clean a million pounds of trash to make a difference (although that’s cool, too!). All you have to do is recognize your unique talents and skills, combine them with your friends’, and have a little courage to dive into new waters! Not sure how?
